About this recipe
Turkey burgers dry out when they are overworked or overcooked. A light mix and the air fryer keep them juicy without a greasy skillet.
Lettuce wraps keep the plate under 500 calories. Soft light buns work if you want something more classic.
Do not press the patties flat in the basket. A slight dome stays moist in the center.
FORM
Step 1
In a bowl, gently mix turkey with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined. Divide into 4 equal patties about 3/4-inch thick. Brush lightly with oil.
Step 2
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes if your model recommends it.
AIR FRY
Step 3
Place patties in a single layer. Air fry at 375°F for 7 minutes.
Step 4
Flip. Air fry at 375°F until the center reaches 165°F and the outside is browned, 6 to 7 minutes more.
SERVE
Step 5
Rest 2 minutes. Serve in lettuce wraps with tomato and yogurt if using, or on light buns.
Tips
Wet your hands before shaping so the turkey does not stick and you mix less.
Cooked patties keep 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3 to 4 minutes until hot.
