About this recipe
A smoothie bowl you eat with a spoon, not a straw. Frozen berries and banana blend thick with Greek yogurt so the toppings sit on top instead of sinking.
This batch makes four bowls. Keep the liquid light so the base stays scoopable.
Freeze the banana in chunks the night before if you can. It makes the blend colder and thicker without extra ice.
BLEND
Step 1
Add yogurt, frozen berries, banana, and milk to a blender. Blend on high until thick and smooth, 45 to 60 seconds. Scrape the sides once. The mixture should mound on a spoon, not pour like a drink.
Step 2
If it is too thick to blend, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time. Stop as soon as the blades catch so the bowl stays scoopable.
ASSEMBLE
Step 3
Divide among four bowls. Top each with 1 tablespoon granola, 1 teaspoon chia, and fresh berries if using. Serve right away.
Tips
Use frozen fruit only for the blend. Fresh berries on top keep the texture and color brighter.
For meal prep, blend the base the night before and refrigerate covered. Stir and add toppings in the morning.
