About this recipe
Oats, yogurt, milk, and chia do the work while you sleep. By morning the jar is thick, cold, and ready to eat.
This batch makes four jars. Each one is a full breakfast with oats, a generous scoop of yogurt, and berries on top.
Stir well before the fridge so the chia does not clump at the bottom. Add berries in the morning if you want them brighter.
MIX
Step 1
In a large bowl, stir oats, yogurt, milk, chia, maple, vanilla, and a pinch of salt until no dry pockets remain.
Step 2
Divide the mixture among four jars or containers. Leave a little headspace for berries.
CHILL AND SERVE
Step 3
Cover and refrigerate overnight (at least 4 hours) until thick and spoonable.
Step 4
Stir, top each jar with berries, and eat cold. Add a splash of milk if you want it looser.
Tips
Keep berries separate until morning if you prefer them firm instead of jammy.
If the oats look too thick after chilling, loosen with 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk before eating.
